This project marks the client’s upgrade from a semi-detached bungalow to a full bungalow lot, featuring approximately 10 feet of surrounding landscape space. The design approach begins by respecting the existing architectural context, ensuring the new home feels cohesive and grounded rather than over-designed.

Ease of cleaning and maintenance is a key client requirement, guiding material selection and design decisions throughout the home. The result is a refined, practical residence that balances design clarity, lifestyle needs, and everyday comfort.

Inside, the interior adopts a minimalist design language, where clean lines and well-considered proportions define the space. Modern furniture pieces are treated as statement elements, allowing the interior to remain visually simple yet expressive. Space planning and detailing are prioritized to enhance flow, functionality, and long-term usability.

The landscape is carefully divided into two distinct experiences. One side is designed as a Japanese-inspired garden, offering a calm and contemplative environment, while the opposite side opens into a family garden—ideal for BBQs, gatherings, and everyday outdoor activities. Together, these spaces balance tranquility and social living.
