This project is designed for a primary school in Bukit Jalil, focusing on creating a sports center that responds thoughtfully to the existing building context and a limited project budget. Rather than extensive reconstruction, the design approach emphasizes smart reuse and efficient planning.

An industrial design language is adopted, featuring exposed ceilings and visible service piping. This strategy reduces construction cost while creating a spacious, honest, and contemporary environment that is easy to maintain. The open layout encourages flexibility and allows the space to be used for various sports and activities.

To further enhance students’ experience, open spaces and a rooftop garden are introduced, providing safe areas for children to play, rest, and interact. These outdoor elements support physical activity and well-being, extending learning and movement beyond enclosed interiors.

The result is a functional, cost-effective sports center that balances practicality, creativity, and a child-friendly environment—designed to support active learning and everyday use.
